Siesta Key Beach

Siesta Beachalso known as Siesta Key Beach is a beautiful beach with turquoise water and soft silica sand. He was crowned as one of the best beaches in the country and was recognized with numerous awardsincluding being ranked #1 on Dr. Stephen P. Leatherman’s 2011, 2016, and 2017 annual list of America’s Best Beaches.

The beach has a number of services including lifeguards, public parking, public tennis courts, outdoor showers, BBQ grills, and beach chair/umbrella rentals if you don’t have your own beach gear. There is also a 450-foot Mobi-Mat path for users of wheelchairs, strollers and beach carts.

If you are there on a Sunday evening just before sunset, you will have a chance to join the Siesta Key Drum Circle — a local tradition that dates back to 1996. The community gathers and moves together to the beat of drums to celebrate the sunset.

Siesta Key Village

Siesta Key Village is fun shopping and restaurant district on the northwest side of Siesta Key.

Some of the best restaurants are Daiquiri Deck Siesta Key Village offering creative daiquiris, seafood and live music, Siesta Key Oyster Bar (“SKOB”) famous for its daily oyster happy hour, The old key to the salty dog’s siesta British pub serving delicious beer-battered hot dogs and Siesta Key Summer House Steak and seafood offering a memorable dining experience.

Also, you can drive the Free Siesta Key cart who travels from Siesta Key Village to Turtle Beach and back, every day of the week from 8:00 to 22:00.

Turtle Beach

No Siesta Key vacation is complete without a visit to beautiful Turtle Beach. Located on the southern tip of Siesta Key, this family beach it’s a great alternative to bustling Siesta Beach. This place is less crowded and is great for swimming, fishing, kayaking and canoeing.

Please note this is a nesting habitat of active sea turtles during turtle mating season — do not disturb turtle nests.
